Hang cleans: 1
I was excited to see “slow & heavy” on the board today. Unique WOD in that it was untimed, and rightfully so. Going heavy doesn’t always need to be timed. My 1RM on a power clean is 200lbs. The last time I did a clean & jerk I was at 195lbs, so I was thinking my hang clean would be around 175. Man, was I wrong. Just didn’t have the juice today. As I got warm, I felt better, was able to add some weight, and ended up working with 155lbs. The power cleans and split jerk felt great but the hang cleans were hard on me.
