“21-15-9”
The plan for the WOD was overhead squats and kettlebell swings with a suicide sprint in between each “round”. So 21 OHS, 21 KB swings, then a sprint. We have access to another giant sized part of the building we are in and the owner has it now covered with artificial turf. Cool, right?
I mentioned earlier about a change our gym is making over the next few days, so this WOD was not timed. The focus being on intensity and form. For me, I really wondered if I could go unbroken on the OHS. I was not worried about the swings, just the squats. I opted to go with 85# instead of 95#, not a major drop, but just to think to myself “this is lighter and easier”. I was able to go unbroken on all of the reps and despite a tender ankle, I did the sprints.
One of the guys had timed the WOD with his watch and I finished shortly after him, giving me a time of 8 minutes and change. Not that I care about that in the long run. I am not planning on being next to Froning at the Games. If my name has RX beside it, so be it. If it doesn’t, then that gives me something extra to work toward. I would much rather know that my form is flawless than to see RX next to my name with a quick time.

I don’t care about your WOD or CrossFit (lame excuse for a sport). I dig your handwriting, though.
