I mentioned a few days ago how I had not maxed out since October on deads.  I was guessing my max would be somewhere around the 400 mark.  Randal was working on deads so I hopped in around the 275lb mark.  We worked our way up and I did 385 without really struggling too badly.  At that point, I was in new PR range since the last time I maxed I was at 375.  Even after the hero WOD earlier, I still felt good.  Randal said “You wanna try 405?”  So we did.  I hit that.  Smiled.  He told me that I did really good and that he felt like I could do 415.  Amazing what that little bit of encouragement can do for someone.  So we loaded the bar up and I found myself at 415, a new PR by 40 pounds.
