Hero WOD and deadlift PR
Instead of the regular WOD, we did a hero WOD called Hammer.
5RFT:
- 5 Power Cleans @ 135#
- 10 Front Squats @ 135#
- 5 Jerks @ 135#
- 20 pull-ups
- Rest 90 seconds in between each round.
Didn’t really remember the rest 90 seconds after each round thing. I was sucking enough wind during this to make up for that I guess. This was a pretty tough WOD and my legs are smoked. I suck at pull-ups, which is where my time suck was. Other than that, the real tough part for me was transitioning from the front squat to the jerks. I ended up dropping the bar a few times out of exhaustion which meant I had to clean it to prepare for the jerks.
Time was 24:05.
We stayed after a bit and I had not planned on doing any deadlifts. But that changed pretty quickly. Ended up hitting a new PR. Will write more in a bit, the weather is getting rough here so I need to log off.

I’m going to do the “Morrison” tomorrow. 3 rounds of (1x hand tear, 3x shin bust) for time. Final score is time minus volume of blood spilled. Should be awesome.
