Veggie Sub: Quick & Healthy Meal
We have two daughters, so meals that are healthy and quick to make are perfect for us.  This is basically a meatball sub, without meat.  We use the Veggie Patch Meatless Meatballs, 2% shredded cheese, tomato sauce, and whole grain hotdog buns to whip this up.  Heat the meatballs and sauce and dump it all on a bun.  I like to serve this with some type of fruit and possibly a glass of 2% milk. ...

Training Week #4 is done
This morning at 8am, despite staying up a bit too late watching the CrossFit Games online, I was pretty stoked about our own WOD: Trevor with a Twist.  My first month or so at CrossFit, I was nervous about the tough WODs.  Now I want them.  The harder the better.  I want to be slaughtered in the gym.  I want it to be hard each and every time.  I love that part during the WOD where you feel like...

"Oh, I just couldn’t live without that."
If you have lost enough weight for people to take notice, you no doubt have had someone ask you how you did it. As if there was some magic formula or pill you took to drop weight overnight.  People almost seem disappointed when the answer I give is “exercise and eating right”.  During these little chats, some delve a little deeper and inquire as to the details surrounding my weight loss.  It is a...

Making Progress
Our 4 year old daughter was asked if she wanted McDonalds for lunch. She said to my wife “No, Mommy. That’s not very healthy.” I am excited that we are turning this ship around.

“Somethings Gotta Give”
I was reading a recent blog post by Lisbeth Darsh and it really captivated me.  Do you ever feel like there is too much on you?  That at any point you are ready to break?  Something has to give, right?  I was immediately hooked. Read this: Maybe it’s too much work, too much stress, too much alcohol, too much eating, too many commitments, too much too much. It could be even … gasp …...
